Nurses

Today’s dental nurses have to be highly trained and very committed. That is definitely true for Liv, Sophie S, Sophie H,  Sophie B, Lizzy and Jo. Yes, we have a lot of Sophies!

They all must achieve formal nursing qualifications and undergo continual further training and assessment. Modern dental nurses have to display competence (to outside assessors), in a variety of areas such as  cross infection control and medical emergencies.

All of them are very approachable and have a wealth of experience. This enables them to administer calm sympathetic reassurance. They can also offer general oral health advice or explain various treatments.

Receptionists

Jane, Amber and Emma are the faces (and voices) of St.Oswald’s! Their cheerful competence reassures our patients on the phone, welcomes them at our door and places them at ease in our waiting rooms.

Of course, their duties go far beyond that. They can explain treatments, find illusive appointments and always offer same day treatments to patients that are in pain.

They are available to offer assistance over the phone or personally whilst you are in the building. If there is a matter that is beyond their expertise they can arrange for a dentally qualified member of staff to call you back.
